December at VVC

For the All-Russia Exhibition Center the month before the New Year will be marked with a number of large-scale events: a meeting of the Presidium of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs, the 12th All-Russian Intersectoral Exhibition of domestic goods “Buy Russian”, summation of the All-Russian competition “The most accomplished city of Russia”, Exhibition “The Central Federal District: concern for the family – concern for the future”.

On December 3, at 10:00, the conference hall of the VVC Office Building will accommodate a meeting of the Presidium of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs.

On December 10 to 14, Pavilion #57 of the All-Russia Exhibition Center will house the XII All-Russian Intersectoral Exhibition of domestic goods “Buy Russian”. Over 500 manufacturers from 55 regions of Russia will display their products at an area of 10 thousand sq. m. To meet the sectoral scope, the display will comprise a few sections: foodstuffs, consumer goods, specialized fair of furs.
The Exhibition will feature an extensive business program. In particular, the Russian Brands Festival will be held.

On December 12, 2008, at 10:00, the conference hall of the Main Office Building of the All-Russia Exhibition Center will accommodate the winners’ awarding ceremony, presentation of diplomas and certificates to the participants of the All-Russian Competition “The most accomplished city of Russia” for 2007.
The most accomplished city of Russia competition has been conducted for 10 years. Novosibirsk, Bratsk and Reutov of the Moscow region became the winners in 2007.
The competition is conducted in three nominations. The first covers administrative centers of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the second, cities with a population of 100 thousand people and more, and the third, cities and towns with a population up to 100 thousand people as well as urban-type villages. Until 2008, the competition prize fund amounted to 100 million rubles, and from this year on it has been increased to measure 400 million rubles.

On December 22 to 24, Pavilion #75 of the All-Russia Exhibition Center will house an exhibition of the Central Federal District held annually in conjunction with the meeting of the Council under the President’s Authorized Representative in the Central Federal District – “The Central Federal District: concern for the family – concern for the future”.

The Exhibition’s displays are to reflect various aspects of the regional policy intended to support the family, resolve demographical, social, medical, educational and housing problems, overcome the orphanhood problem and tackle other burning issues of the modern family.
